Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Chief Medical Officer (CMO) with a BAMS or
BHMS qualification to lead the clinical and medical operations of our healthcare facility. The
CMO will be responsible for ensuring high-quality medical care, compliance with standards,
and seamless coordination between the clinical teams and administrative departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Oversight & Leadership:
Oversee all clinical operations across departments including OPD, IPD, Emergency,
ICU, and specialty units.
Provide guidance and supervision to Resident Medical Officers (RMOs), physicians,
nurses, and support medical staff.
Develop clinical protocols and ensure adherence to standard treatment guidelines.
2. Patient Care & Quality Standards:
Monitor patient care standards and ensure consistency in high-quality care delivery.
Lead patient safety initiatives and infection control programs.
Conduct regular audits, clinical reviews, and mortality/morbidity reviews.
3. Operational Management:
Coordinate with department heads and administrative teams for smooth functioning
of daily operations.
Manage medical duty rosters, shift allocations, and ensure 24/7 coverage.
Handle escalations in medical or patient issues and take timely decisions in critical
situations.
4. Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, accreditation bodies
(NABH/NABL), and medical ethics.
Maintain accurate documentation for medical incidents, audits, legal cases, and
patient complaints.
Oversee medical records management and data protection protocols.
5. Strategic & Administrative Duties:
Support the Hospital Director in planning and execution of strategic initiatives.
Contribute to cost optimization without compromising quality of care.
Develop training modules for continuous education and development of medical
staff.
6. External Coordination:
Liaise with government health departments, insurance companies, and third-party
administrators (TPAs) as required.
Coordinate with external consultants, visiting specialists, and diagnostic services.
